Obituary of Jannette (Jan) B Curnutt

Jannette B Curnutt (Jan), a Draftsmen and Support Team Member at Kennedy Space Center and life-long resident of Brevard County, FL, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020 in her home at age 68 Jan was born in Louisville Kentucky to Wanda and Hank Barnett on August 11, 1951. She graduated from Merritt Island High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from UCF. Jan was a devoted and loving mom. She had so much fun working at the Space Center and Scotty’s back in the day. She was an amazing Artist through drawing, flower arrangements, decorating and arts and crafts. Jan is preceded in death by Mother Wanda Mays, Father Hank Barnett, Brothers Wayne Barnett and Harold Barnett, Sister Joyce Spyrka, Grand Parents Irvin and Molly Age. Jan is survived by Children John E Curnutt II, Jennifer and Mark Pruett, Grand Children Dustin Curnutt, Robert Owens, Cheyenne Rowand, Nathan Curnutt, Candace Slone and Megan Sutherland. Great Grand Children Jackson Slone, Emerald Owens, Ella Sutherland and Baby Sutherland. Brother in Law Chester Spyrka, Niece Heather McGuire, Jill Ernissee, Rebecca Ricci, Uncle Jim and Paulette Age, Barbara Pruett, Lynne and Dave Cody. And MOST of all her Beloved Companion Service Dog Spunky. The family of Jan wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of St. Frances, all of the Nurses, CNA’s, Social Workers, Chaplain’s and the entire staff.
